THE MARINE WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) REGULATIONS 2017
Notice is hereby given that Forthwind Limited, registered under company registration SC470580 at The Boathouse, Hawkcraig Road, Aberdour, Burntisland, Fife, KY3 0TZ has been granted by the Scottish Ministers:
• consent under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989;
• declaration under section 36A of the Electricity Act 1989; and
• a marine licence under section 20 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010,
to construct and operate an offshore generating station and associated ancillary works located approximately 1.5km from the coast of Methil with a total area of approximately 9639m2 with co-ordinates as per below: (WGS84)

The proposed generating station will comprise one wind turbine generator with a maximum height to blade tip of 280m above Highest Astronomical Tide and associated ancillary equipment.
The Scottish Ministers have also made a declaration under section 36A of the Electricity Act 1989 to extinguish the public rights of navigation in so far as they pass through those places within territorial seas where the structures forming part of the offshore generating station are to be located.

A copy of the decision notice has also been sent to City of Edinburgh Council, East Lothian Council and Fife Council to be made available for public inspection on the planning register
Forthwind held a pre-application consultation event at the Fife Renewables Innovation Centre between 11am and 7pm on Monday 13th December 2021. The information boards used during the public exhibition are available below in the Project Documentation section of this page as a pdf document.
